Ladies Golf:
At Mill River Country Club, we offer two distinct programs for women who are passionate about golf: the Ladies 18 Hole Program and the Ladies 9 Hole Program. These programs provide opportunities for camaraderie, friendly competition, skill development, and fun-filled golf experiences.
Ladies 18 Hole Program:
Our Ladies 18 Hole group welcomes all dues-paying women members of Mill River. Led by President Lauren O'Leary and supported by a dedicated team, this program offers a chance for women to enjoy the company of fellow lady golfers while engaging in friendly competition. We also strive to foster an understanding of golf rules in a sociable and enjoyable atmosphere.
The 18 Holers play on Thursday mornings from May through October, and there are additional opportunities to gather on Tuesday mornings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday mornings. We encourage women who are interested in golfing while building connections with other women to join us in this vibrant group.
While high handicappers need not feel intimidated, it is necessary for our members to have an established USGA 18 Hole handicap index. A maximum handicap of 36 will be used for all Ladies Thursday League play. For more information or inquiries, please reach out to our PGA Golf Professional, John Klug, at
(203) 375-5641.

Ladies 9 Hole Program:
If you believe golf is a challenging game but also a rewarding one, our Ladies 9 Hole group is the perfect place for you. Led by President Lynn Fuchs and Treasurer Lisa Malloy, this program accommodates women at all levels of play. Our dedicated Head Golf Pro, John Klug, and Assistant Head Pro Dan Simons are readily available to provide golf clinics or private lessons, helping members learn and improve their game.
Designed for those who wish to learn golf or enhance their existing skills while enjoying the company of new acquaintances, the 9 Hole league plays on Thursday afternoons at 4:00 PM throughout the summer. We engage in various fun formats, with no pressure involved. After the game, we gather for drinks, snacks, and discussions about our golfing highs and lows.
For further details or if you have any questions, please contact our PGA Golf Professional, John Klug, at (203) 375-5641. Golf rules can be found at http://www.USGA.org/rules, and handicaps can be managed at http://www.GHIN.com.
